Overview
Fate Intern is a small game developed in 5 days during a jam.
In this trial-and-error, first-person puzzle game, you'll take on the role of an intern at the Fates, trying to pass your exam to become a Fate Operator. You'll be placed in a simulation set on a fictional city street, where you’ll need to figure out how to resolve the situations that unfold before you in order to stop the loop.
Solve the puzzle of destiny and earn your certification as a Fate Operator!
Puzzle Structure
Experiment, make mistakes, and learn from every failure to find the optimal solution for all 5 puzzles. Think outside the box and discover how small changes can influence fate in unexpected ways.
The 5 puzzles consist of sequences of events. Each puzzle will have at least:
- One perpetrator
- One victim
- One object to interact with
Every object in the puzzle is an agent and each object can also have more than one role (victim and perpetrator, interactable object and perpetrator). Timing and observation will be key.
My Role
Worked as a generalist during a 5-day game jam, handling gameplay programming, core systems implementation, bug fixing, and supporting the team across multiple areas as needed. The game was completed in just 5 days.
